Arm Roll (Contact Juggling Trick Tutorial)

In this tutorial you will be introduced to the basics of how to do an arm roll contact juggling trick. Before rolling the ball down your arm the first thing that you are going to want to do is find a balance point somewhere around the inside of your elbow to hold the ball.

Once you find this place move your body and arm around, up , and down while trying to keep the ball still balanced on that spot.

This will help you with getting a good understanding of the weight shifts that occur during movement when having the ball sitting in that location.

After you feel comfortable with this position you can move on to the next step which is to slide your arm back towards your body at a relatively quick speed.  This will cause the ball to roll down your arm where you should be able to easily catch it in the palm of your open hand.  Keep practicing this at all levels of speed.  The slower that you do this the harder it will be, but you will increase your balancing skill level by going slow.

Once ready to move on to the next part, you should try to do this same motion but in reverse.  This time you want to be pushing your arm out away from your body at the same time allowing the ball to roll away from your hand and ending on that flat spot inside your elbow.  At first it may be tricky to get the ball to stop and balance at your elbow so take your time.

Practice sending the ball back and forth from your elbow to your hand until you have mastered it.

For some this trick is very difficult while for others it comes very naturally and easily, so just give it a try and see how it works out.
