Foot Jumps (Slackline Trick Tutorial)
In this tutorial you will learn how to jump on the slackline when moving from one side to the other. You are making good progress! By now you should know how to walk a full pass across the slackline and be able to turn around once you get there. You will want the line to be set up from around 20 to 30 feet. Additionally, you will want it to be as tight as possible because you want the line to have rebound when you push down and try to jump. You also need it tight so that you do not touch the ground when jumping on the line. This trick is going to take alot of practice, but you can get it. Start by practicing landing on the line. You can do this by standing next to the line and then jumping up onto the line placing your back foot onto the line slightly before your front foot. you may want to have your feet lightly turned out to the sides so that you do not slip off right away. You will want to make sure that you can do this before trying to jump directly from the slackline. After you get this down start to bounce up and down on the line with both feet staying touched down on the slackline. After you get bouncing stop your bouncing movement as quick as possible by bending your knees while trying to keep your balance. Once you get this down you can then move onto trying to do quick jumps by letting your feet leave the line. Remember to always keep your hips facing down the line! This will give you the best control. Good luck!
